The Mayor of Limassol, Nikos Nikolaides recently visited the offices of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The Mayor, was accompanied by a number of members of the Municipal Council and met with the President of the LCCI, Costas Galatariotis, and the members of the Chamber Board of Directors and discussed that concern the Chamber and the Limassol business community where discussed.
On the agenda were issues pertaining to road and other projects that have been completed, are under construction or are planned, high-rise buildings and other development projects, illegal parking and inadequate policing, as well as new technologies to help alleviate the problem of limited parking spaces, especially in the city center and also around the marina and old harbor.
During the meeting, Mr. Galatariotis also raised issues and made recommendations concerning tourism, sea pollution and the need to find an appropriate space for the Deputy Ministry of Shipping. Finally, it was agreed that there should be a more institutionalized cooperation with the participation of LCCI to further promote the development of the city and province of Limassol.
