The possibilities of cooperation between companies from Donetsk and Limassol were discussed in detail during a recent visit to Limassol by a multi-member business delegation from the Ukrainian city, headed by the President of the local Chamber Elvira Sevostianenko.
The Donetsk delegation visited the offices of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry,
where they held a meeting with President Costas Galatariotis and the Board
member heading the International Relations Department of the Chamber Heros
Miltiadous, with both sides expressing satisfaction for the meeting and pledging to do all it takes to promote
bilateral economic cooperation between the two cities.
Issues pertaining to business cooperation were also high on the agenda of B2B meetings that followed, again at the premises of the Limassol Chamber, between the 25 members of the Ukrainian delegation and interested companies from Limassol.
Ahead of its arrival at the Limassol Chamber premises, the Donetsk delegation which comprised for the most part
representatives from the farming and foodstuff sector, visited the
Charalambides Christies Dairies in Limassol, where especial interest was shown
in the halloumi production. There followed a visit and tour of the Limassol Marina, which Mrs. Sevostianenko described as impressive. Throughout their stay in Limassol the Ukrainian
entrepreneurs were accompanied by the Cyprus Chamber Director of
the Commerce Department and the Limassol Chamber Secretary/Director.
