In the framework of the CIDE-NET (Creative and Innovation Driven Enterprises Network) European project, the third transnational meeting of the program partners (including the Limassol Chamber) took place in Limassol September 12 and 13. CIDE-NET is part of the Interreg BalkanMed Territorial Cooperation Instrument, focusing on the European Union’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation priority. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the skills of Small and Medium Enterprises and to encourage the adoption of good practices and innovative applications in the fields of production, and commerce as well as in the operation and organizational structure within companies.
To achieve the basic purpose of the program, substantial actions are envisaged. Among the most important CIDE-NET activities that have already been carried out recently, was the launching of country surveys (involving the countries of the program partners), focusing on identifying the needs and capabilities at national level in the core sectors of the economy of each country. As for the latest partners’ meeting, held at the offices of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the emphasis was on an extensive analysis of the educational material to be used in the e-mentoring training seminars, to be held in all partner countries, as well as on the methodology surrounding the operation of the electronic platform to be used for the e-mentoring training seminars.
At the same time, the organization of Info Days, provided for under the program was also discussed, and these are expected to take place soon with an open invitation to the business world. The Info Days are particularly important as they will accord the opportunity for direct communication and exchange of views with experts in relevant issues pertaining to the objectives of the program.
In the context of the Limassol meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit the premises of Signalgenerix Ltd, a company specializing in R & D and innovation, as part of the program which provides for the study of examples of good practices in the particular field. On this occasion, the Limassol Chamber wishes to thank Dr. Tassos Kounoudes, the Signalgenerix CEO, for the hospitality and for facilitating the deliverables of CIDE-NET.
