The Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the opening of the State Department of Shipping, based in Limassol, on 1st of March. The shipping and ship management sector is proven to be very important for the Cypriot economy and simultaneously promising for the future both in terms of attracting investment and creating additional employment opportunities. The establishment and operation of the Deputy Ministry of Maritime Affairs, a Policy Department dealing exclusively with the issues in this field, can only have beneficial effects on the economy of our country.
