The Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry is very keen on cooperating with the municipalities of the Limassol district. This pledge was made by the President of the Chamber Costas Galatariotis in the wake of separate meetings, in early February with the newly elected Mayors, Kyriakos Xydias of Germasiogia, Marinos Kyriacou of Agios Athanasios and Pantelis Eftychiou of Ipsonas.
The meetings took place at the three municipalities and provided an opportunity for the Chamber to be briefed on the issues facing the municipalities as well as on the priorities of the newly elected municipal councils, both at organizational level and also in terms of development projects, either those that have already been decided or those that are needed and representations are being made for their adoption and implementation.
Mr. Galatariotis briefed the mayors on the Chamber’s initiatives in support of entrepreneurship and for vitally important development projects throughout the Limassol district, including the casino-resort and Science & Technology Park. He also referred to the concerted effort to promote and publicize what exists and what happens in Limassol through the All About Limassol portal, which operates under the auspices of the Chamber.
The Chamber also expressed its desire and readiness, to cooperate with Limassol municipalities in the implementation on European horizontal programmes.
