Professional community, culture, communication and active participation at the heart of the discussion
Limassol, 12 September 2026 – IMA Cyprus – International Management Assistants successfully hosted its “Let’s Connect” event at the Royal Apollonia Hotel in Limassol, marking the beginning of the Association’s new season. Members, guests and new participants came together to connect, exchange experiences and actively participate in a highly interactive session. A central part of the event was the interactive “Let’s Connect” session, with Marianna Hadjiandoniou, Founder & Director of PERHA Group, as Guest Moderator. The discussion was built around four key themes: Membership, Culture, Communication and social media, exploring how a professional community can move its members from simply belonging to actively participating, contributing and ultimately becoming ambassadors of the community.
The discussion highlighted the importance of viewing membership not simply as a registration or a number, but as a relationship built through experience, participation and a genuine sense of belonging. During the session, Marianna also highlighted the importance of organisational and professional culture, stressing that culture is not defined by how an organisation describes itself, but by what people actually experience in their everyday working environment.
Particular emphasis was also placed on the role of communication as the link between culture and collaboration. Open, meaningful and consistent communication helps build trust, encourages participation and enables people to feel that they are genuinely part of a community.
