A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence and the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 11 March 2026, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between research organisations and the business community. The agreement builds on a previous partnership signed by the two organisations on 5 April 2021, reinforcing their ongoing partnership and commitment to innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable development in Cyprus.
This partnership aims to better connect scientific research with the needs of businesses by promoting knowledge sharing, innovation, and the use of advanced technologies. Through joint actions, events and the exchange of information, the Limassol Chamber and the ERATOSTHENES CoE will work together to support local businesses, improve competitiveness, and encourage sustainable economic growth in Limassol.
The agreement also highlights the increasing importance of cooperation in key areas such as space technologies, earth observation and digital innovation. It is expected that this collaboration will create new opportunities for businesses, support the development of practical solutions and further strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Limassol and across Cyprus.
