The competitive advantages of the Limassol region as a tourist destination were presented to 40 travel agents in Tbilisi (Georgia), on Friday 28 June 2024, through impressive audiovisual material in an event organized by the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and in cooperation with luxury Limassol hotels.
In addition to presenting modern Limassol and its characteristics that make it a popular destination for quality tourists, a welcome speech was given by the representative of the Ministry of Tourism, and luxury hotel units were showcased, setting the bar high in terms of amenities, luxury, technology, design, and services they offer, solidifying Limassol as a high-end tourist destination for visitors seeking quality.
Tourism professionals who attended were offered gift bags containing promotional material and presents from Cyprus. They also had the chance to be the lucky winners of prize draws for luxury accommodation packages offered by Limassol hotels.
Tourism consultants who recently visited Limassol on educational trips said they were impressed by the high quality and cosmopolitan character of the city. They reported that the friendly environment, sandy beaches, luxury accommodation, excellent food, and nightlife make Limassol stand out from other destinations.
The event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and marks the Limassol Tourism Board’s first foray into the Georgian market, which presents particularly positive prospects since there are direct flights all year round, with a flight duration of only one hour and forty-five minutes, and no visa is required.
