The 21st of April was an important day in the life of the Cyprus Russian Business Association (CyRuBA), with the celebration of the opening of Russian Desk. The Russian Desk is based at the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is headed by Ms. Mila Levinskaya.
The celebration, sponsored by Piraeus Bank, opened with an address by the President of CyRuBA Mr. Evgenios C. Evgeniou, while Dr. Andrey Gromov (Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Russian Federation) and Ms. Mila Levinskaya also addressed the event, which was attended by over 150 businesspeople and other interested parties from both Russia and Cyprus.
CyRuBA was established in 1996 under the auspices of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in association with the Russian Embassy and the support from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Limassol is a hub for the majority of the Russian businesspersons in Cyprus and it is the city where most of the Russian business establishments are located. Therefore, having the physical presence of the Russian Desk in this city was a very important step. The objectives of the Russian Desk are to support and assist Russian entrepreneurs in their everyday activities, enhance their business relationships and strengthen their connection with the Russian market by promoting Cyprus as an International Business Centre.
