As part of periodic contacts with the local
authorities of Limassol, the President of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (LCCI) Andreas Tsouloftas recently visited the Agios Athanasios and
Kato Polemidia town halls and held meetings with the two mayors, Marinos
Kyriacou and Nikos Anastasiou, respectively.
In both meetings, Mr. Tsouloftas underlined the
continuous interest of LCCI for the development needs and issues that concern
the local communities, noting that the Chamber, in addition to being by nature
a development body for the whole of Limassol, has members not only in urban
Limassol, but also throughout the district. Consequently, he continued,
engaging in mutual briefings with the heads of local authorities is not only
useful but also necessary.
For their part, the Mayors Mr. Kyriakou and Mr.
Anastasiou, raised before Mr. Tsouloftas issues related to the development
needs of their municipalities in terms of projects and other infrastructure and
the LCCI President undertook to promote them in the context of the Chamber's
frequent contacts with ministers and other government officials.
Municipalities and the Chamber finally
reiterated their intention to continue and further consolidate their cooperation
towards serving the common goal for a better Limassol.
