Limassol Center
Regarding the flood protection projects of the centre of Limassol amounting to 6.5 million euros, in order to prevent previous years unpleasant flooding incidents, Giannis Tsouloftas indicated that the detailed planning of the project is already at an advanced stage and very soon, before the end of the first quarter of 2021, tenders will be made. With the implementation of these projects, the rainwater that ends up in the area will be diverted, which will be collected by sewers from the avenues of Leontiou, Agia Phylaxis, Thessalonikis, Vasilis Michaelides and Agia Zonis and will be channelled through the streets of Gladstonos and Navarinou into Garillis. A prerequisite for the start of the projects is the relocation of networks of other services on Navarino Street in order to build the new sewers.
