The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute, the Cyprus Youth Board, the Larnaka Tourism Development and Promotion Company, the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Geoimaging Company and the Agia Napa Municipality, announce the 3rd "Name a Reef" Competition, continuing the initiative successfully launched in 2021.
The Competition is addressed exclusively to students from the 4th to the 6th grade of Primary Schools in the districts of Larnaka, Famagusta and Limassol. Its purpose is to give students the opportunity to be actively involved in the process of naming a natural marine reef, and through this process, to acquire knowledge and develop skills in the context of marine literacy. This is a competition aiming to connect primary students with the marine environment and the history of their area and to raise awareness of the protection of marine life and biodiversity.
