For yet another year, the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry maintains its certifications as a “Zero Waste” and “Green Office” organisation.
LCCI has once again been awarded the Zero Waste to Landfill certificate by TÜV Cyprus Ltd, having achieved a recycling rate of 96.81% of its waste for 2025.
At the same time, it continues to hold the Green Office certification, which is granted to buildings and offices that meet specific sustainability criteria. These criteria include, among others, energy and water consumption, materials and waste management, the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, the quality of food and beverages, the creation of green spaces, as well as education for sustainable development.
The Limassol Chamber initially obtained the Green Office (2018) and Zero Waste (2022) environmental certifications for its buildings and offices. Since the construction of its privately owned building in 2005, it has implemented environmentally friendly practices and procedures for proper waste management, recycling almost all of its waste through the installation of separate bins for paper, plastic, batteries, and glass.
The acquisition of these certifications reflects the Limassol Chamber’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible operations, marking an important step in its ESG journey. At the same time, it demonstrates its active efforts to protect the environment and support the circular economy through concrete actions.
