The residential and tourism project of the Limassol Greens golf course, by Lanitis Golf Public Co Ltd, with a total budget of €400 million, is entering a phase of gradual maturation. During the current year, the project is transitioning from the development stage to the creation of an organized community of residents and golf athletes.
With the start of home deliveries, the operation of the golf course, and the gradual expansion of infrastructure, the development aims to establish itself as a reference point for sports tourism and residential activity.
In September, the first 74 homes — 22 villas and 52 apartments in Robin East and Robin West — were delivered, marking the creation of the first residential community within the project. This development gradually transforms the character of the investment from a construction endeavor into a space for permanent living. Residents of Limassol Greens come from various nationalities, including Cypriots.
A milestone was the opening, in October 2025, of the 18-hole golf course, designed by golf course architect Cabell B. Robinson. The course opened for members on October 1st and has been accessible to the general public since December 1, 2025. With a total length of 6,300 meters and a design that follows the natural morphology of the area, it meets international standards, strengthening Limassol’s position on the golf map.
Its operation is supported by a 320-meter driving range with 30 positions equipped with TrackMan technology, as well as a golf academy for beginners. According to company data, in the first months of operation, 100 active members were recorded, with a significant proportion coming from an audience that previously did not participate in the local golf market. Competitive activity began on January 31, 2026, with the Winter Open Tournament, which hosted over 100 players, inaugurating a series of competitive and corporate events.
At the same time, the environmental landscaping of the area continues, with more than 5,000 trees planted to date, creating an extensive green core around the course and residences.
Given the drought conditions in Cyprus, it is noteworthy that the golf course irrigation system uses recycled water from Limassol’s wastewater system, as well as rainwater collected in a trench approximately 1.5 kilometers long on the southern side of the development, which is then channeled, through special systems, into the artificial lakes on site.
In 2026, further residential development is planned, with the introduction of a new type of villas and the start of construction of The Starlings apartments, which will include 126 two and three bedroom units in three six-story buildings. During the same period, public infrastructure will be developed on the western side of the project, over an area of 150,000 m², including green spaces, pedestrian pathways, two playgrounds, padel and tennis courts, accessible to the public.
At the center of social activity is the Clubhouse and the restaurant “The Roost”, serving as a meeting place for residents and visitors. In 2026, new dining and leisure areas are also planned, such as “The Nest”, as well as a Kid’s Club.
The picture is completed by the under-construction Fitness & Spa Center, with exercise facilities, wellness areas, and outdoor activities, which is expected to become a key pillar of residents’ daily life.
With these interventions, Limassol Greens is gradually shaping a multifunctional environment that combines housing, sports, and leisure services, integrating into the wider development plan of Limassol.
