On Friday, June 7th, the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović was welcomed to Limassol by Mr. Christos Tsanos, a member of the Board of Directors, as a representative of Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company.
The Presidential couple was given a tour of the Limassol Medieval Castle and the historic center, followed by a visit to Omodos village. President Milatović and his wife, accompanied by a delegation, toured the village square, the picturesque streets with art and handicraft workshops, visited the Monastery of Holy Cross, and enjoyed Cypriot cuisine at a traditional tavern. They also had the opportunity to taste Commandaria as a dessert wine and received a gift to remember their visit from Mr. Tsanos
This is the first official visit of a President of Montenegro to Cyprus, and both he and the First Lady expressed their admiration for the cultural heritage of our country.
