Issues of concern to the members of the Limassol Chamber were raised before the Minister of Labour & Social Insurance Mr. Yiannis Panagiotou, during a recent open discussion held by the Limassol Chamber.
The attendees had the opportunity to discuss with the Minister, labour related issues with the main ones concerning the lack of workforce, the employment of staff from third countries and the employment of students from third countries. A common problem of businesses as highlighted by the attendees, was the time-consuming procedures of the public service and the inevitable negative effects that these have on business operations.
The open discussion with the Minister of Labour, took place as part of a tour initiated by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the local Chambers.
