The 3rd Review meeting regarding the CMMI – MaRITeC-X project was completed on January 24 and 25. The meeting was held the 1st day in the premises of CMMI in Larnaca and the 2nd day in the premises of the Limassol Chamber where CMMI’s Liaison office is hosted. The Review covered all operational, financial, research and innovation developments of the past 18 months, as well as the Institute’s future plans.
All the advanced and local partners of the project took part in the meeting such as the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute (SMMI) - University of Southampton, the Marine Institute of Ireland, Blue Wise Marine, Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Larnaka Municipality, GeoImaging, SignalGenerix, & the Marine Institute of Eastern Mediterranean (MarInEM).
The 2nd day of the meeting in the Limassol Chamber started with a visit at the Petronav Ship Management premises where CMMI’s 3D Printer for the development of artificial reefs is located, as well as the large Marine Observation Buoy that will be deployed within February at the Amathounta coast. The day ended with a fruitful Lunchtime Discussion / Roundtable With Blue Economy Industrial Stakeholders.
A few words about the CMMI MaRITeC-X project
LCCI participates as a partner of the CMMI MaRITeC-X project, with funding amounting to €30 million, where €15 million is EU funding and the remaining €15 million comes from funding from the Republic of Cyprus for the creation of infrastructure.
