With the support of the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company, utilizing the Incentive Schemes offered by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the communities of Agios Konstantinos, Pissouri, Mallia, Kellaki, Fasoula, Anogyra, Arakapas, Kalo Chrorio, and Sylikou, successfully claimed sponsorship for the organization of traditional handicrafts workshops. The workshops offer the opportunity to participants to get in touch with traditional art through various interactive activities.
The events started in April and will continue until December (in some villages), during weekends and participation is free of charge. Visitors have a chance to try their skills in pottery, mosaics, needle work, painting, basketry, decoration of traditional kolotgi, wood carving, creations with pebbles, hagiography, creations with wood and stone and many more arts and crafts.
By participating in the workshops, travelers have a chance to visit villages of the Limassol region, explore the countryside, and support the small businesses of the surrounding area.
This initiative is expected to continue in 2023. For more information you can contact the Limassol Tourism Board offices at 25577130.
