The General
Manager of the Sewerage Board of Limassol–Amathus (SBLA), Giannis Tsouloftas, was
recently hosted at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Limassol Chamber
of Commerce and Industry. The purpose of his presence was to brief the Chamber
about the projects of SBLA, those are already under implementation also those
that are in the pipeline.
In a short introductory statement, Chamber President Andreas Tsouloftas pointed out, among other things, the long-standing interest of the business community of Limassol for the development work of SBLA which aims, in the final analysis, at a better quality of life for the citizens, while also touching of the smooth operation of businesses.
The SBLA
General Manager, referred to the Chamber as a strategic partner and
collaborator in the joint effort to promote the development needs of
Limassol, and proceeded with a presentation of the plans and projects
that are in progress, noting that his presence at the meeting coincided with
the start of the largest ant-flood project ever carried out in Limassol, which
aims to relieve the city from frequent floods, that especially in recent years,
have caused very serious problems, especially in specific areas of the greater
Limassol.
He also
referred to sewerage projects in West Limassol, which have become cardinally
important in the light of tourism-related and other projects in the area that
are already in an advanced stage of implementation.
Giannis
Tsouloftas also referred to the need for the state to come to the aid of SBLA's
efforts, offering the appropriate financial support for each case.
LCCI President
Andreas Tsouloftas assured that the Chamber will do its bit in support of this
effort.
