The
Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry has again extended support to
charitable organizations operating in the city and district of Limassol. These
contributions, which are usually made at the first meeting of the Chamber Board
of Directors in January each year. This year, however, because of the pandemic
and the concomitant restrictive measures, the ceremony of handing them over to
the beneficiaries had to be postponed for a while, and took place in April,
coinciding, in a way, with the Easter festive season.
In a short
opening statement, Chamber President Andreas Tsouloftas praised the great work
done by the charities, even under the current particularly adverse conditions,
and always aiming to achieve a better quality of life for those who are less
fortunate. He assured, moreover, that the Chamber and its members will continue
to support this project.
On his
part, the representatives of the institutions expressed their gratitude to the
Chamber, which, they stressed, has for years and regardless of circumstances,
supported their effort for the best possible results. Especially in difficult
times such as the current ones, they noted, any support for their work is extremely
welcome and the Limassol Chamber is always present and by their side.
