Industrial Carbon Dioxide Cylinder
An industrial carbon dioxide cylinder is a pressurised container that stores carbon dioxide gas. It is commonly used in various industries such as food and beverage, welding, fire-fighting equipment, analytical testing, for making dry ice, hydroponics and medicine. This cylinder is made of steel and at top it has a reducing valve to regulate the pressure and flow rate of the gas. It also has a screw-top to protect the valve during handling and transportation. Such cylinders undergo regular pressure testing to ensure that they do not leak.
Gas cylinders are colour-coded for identification and the ones containing carbon dioxide are painted grey up to the neck and green above that. They also have serial numbers so that each company knows which cylinders belong to it.
