The Limassol Chamber convenes a broad meeting with local stakeholders to determine next steps
Limassol is at a critical juncture in its development, aiming to claim what it rightfully deserves while responding to the increasing needs and expectations of its citizens. Following the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Christodoulides, to Limassol, the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry took the initiative to convene a broad meeting with the city’s stakeholders to define the next steps for the implementation and monitoring of the announced development projects and infrastructure works for Limassol.
The meeting was attended by Members of Parliament and Mayors of Limassol, the Limassol District Organisation, and the Limassol Development Company, confirming the joint commitment of all stakeholders to work in a coordinated manner for the progress of the city. The meeting focused on the need to unify efforts among all involved parties to promptly advance the necessary actions that will lead to the substantial upgrading of Limassol and the quality of life of its citizens. Particular emphasis was placed on the immediate promotion of the President’s announcements and the translation of these commitments into tangible results for the benefit of the local community and economy.
The LCCI and the stakeholders of Limassol recognise the establishment of clear and binding timelines for each announced project as essential. In this context, it was decided to prioritise the projects and proceed with targeted meetings with the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works and the Minister of Interior, aiming to accelerate procedures and remove bureaucratic obstacles.
As the representative of Limassol’s business community, the LCCI remains firmly committed to its mission of consistently advocating for, monitoring, and contributing to the implementation of projects that enhance the city’s development path while supporting the sustainable prosperity of its citizens.
