The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) participated together with the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) at the "Maritime Services Exhibition 2023" that took place within the framework of Maritime Cyprus Conference 2023 on the 8-11 October 2023 in Limassol. CMMI and LCCI shared a booth where they welcomed, among others, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Shipping Deputy Minister to the President, Mrs. Marina Hadjimanolis and the Permanent Secretary of the Shipping Deputy Ministry Mr. Stelios Himonas, as well as various stakeholders, partners and friends.
CMMI, being a bronze sponsor of the event, also participated at the conference that brought together important personalities and renowned experts from the shipping sector in general from all around the world, but also at the Opening Reception held the day before. Maritime Cyprus, since its establishment back in 1989, has grown into an event of paramount importance and is co-organised by the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, and the Cyprus Shipowners Association every two years.
This year’s edition has been a big success, thanks to the excellent and hard work of the organisers, bringing together more than 1000 participants from around the globe. In sum, Maritime Cyprus has become one of the world’s most significant shipping conferences that promotes the strong Cypriot maritime tradition and Cyprus’ role both in Europe and internationally.
