Various issues related to problems encountered in industrial zones in Limassol (mainly in Vati and Monagroulli) were on the agenda of a meeting organized and hosted by the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
The meeting dealt with day-to-day arising for the most part as a result of serious shortages of essential infrastructure in the industrial zones (roads, telephony, etc.) and considered ways of effecting solutions where possible. To that end, it was decided not just to write down and evaluate the problems, but also to scrutinize the legislation related to industrial zones, in order to clarify the responsibilities of the relevant ministries / government departments, with a view to the Chamber having sufficient documentation to raise issues with the competent authorities.
The meeting, chaired by LCCI Industry Vice President Charalambos Pattihis, was attended by interested industrialists operating in industrial zones, together with the President of the Monagroulli Community Council and the Cyprus Chamber Industry Department Director.
