Filling the gap between university graduates and graduates of secondary and technical education is a primary objective of Postgraduate Vocational Education and Training Institutes (also known by their Greek acronym MIIEK. The purpose of the programs offered by MIEEK is to provide students with the necessary scientific and professional knowledge and skills for their smooth integration into the labor market.
Programs are characterized by flexibility and adaptability to innovation. MIIEK trainers come from the industry and bring with them new knowledge as it evolves. The Councils in charge of the programs are in constant contact with relevant professional bodies to redefine labor market needs whenever and wherever needed. An integral part of programs is practical training within actual operating companies (manufacturing and other) as well as educational trips, participation in professional exhibitions, company visits, attendance of lectures by specialized speakers, etc.

Purchase and Supply Management - Shipping
The importance of the program lies in the dynamic combination of purchasing and supply management -- a relatively new field of study in Cyprus -- and shipping, providing graduates with a comparative advantage, as no other institution in Cyprus offers this combination. Graduates of the program are employed in the trade/industry field or by shipping and shipping-related companies.
Organic Horticultural Crops
Graduates are able to perform tasks related to the production of organic products, in accordance with the principles of methods used in organic farming, using a range of techniques that help preserve ecosystems and protect the environment; they are empoyable agricultural enterprises producing organic vegetable products.
Bakery/Pastry
Graduates are capable of preparing, baking, garnishing and presenting different types of pastry and bakery under hygienic and health safety conditions; they are employed in hotels, bakeries and pastry shops.
Electromechanical - Cooling Installations in Industry
Graduates are in position to perform tasks related to the installation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical installations, professional refrigerators, small home air conditioners and small central air conditioning systems, in professional premises, with the construction, maintenance and repair of ventilation facilities; in addition to installing, servicing and repairing cooling systems for large professional refrigerators and large central air conditioners in large areas.
