The Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with ARIS Accelerator (A Really Insuring Space), recently organized the 4th Info Meeting of the InnoPlatform (European Innovation Platform and Tools for Increasing the Innovation Capacity of SMEs in the Balkan and Mediterranean Area) programme. In a brief introduction, Nicolas Iordanou, Senior Officer and Coordinator of the Research, Innovation and European Programs of the Chamber, said the program was part of the Interreg BalkanMed Territorial Interregional Finance Instrument, with a priority on Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
He added that the aim of the program was to strengthen the competitiveness of the economic environment of the Balkans and Cyprus, to promote business innovation, to encourage regional development and extroversion through new business partnerships. Mr. Iordanou also pointed out that one of the major goals of the project was to improve the efficiency of enterprises through the transfer of know-how and good practices. He also mentioned substantial and productive cooperation between the Chamber and ARIS in the implementation of the programme. There followed presentation of the InnoPlatform project by Victor Iordanou,
European Projects Officer at the Chamber, who analyzed the use of applications and services created and provided to the business world or to anyone wishing to develop an innovative product or idea. Subsequently, Elisa Loukaidou, Director of ARIS, presented the organization's activities as well as the opportunities offered to start-ups. Finally, representatives of Inowaste and Oreen presented the services they provide. It is worth mentioning that Inowaste participates in InnoPlatform by utilizing the tools of the project.
The event was completed with networking that provided the opportunity for the attendees to chat with the presenters.
