Israeli Ambassador visits Limassol Chamber - Great prospects for economic cooperation

Israel's continued interest in further strengthening the already very good economic and business co-operation with Cyprus was underlined by Ambassador Shmuel Revel as part of a recent visit to the offices of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At a meeting with Chamber President Costas Galatariotis, International Relations Vice President Heros Miltiadous and a number of Board members, Mr. Revel said among others that an increasing number of Israeli companies are interested in doing business in Cyprus. He added that this could be further facilitated by the exchange of business visits between the two sides and the organization of bilateral business-interest events in both countries.
 
On his part, Mr. Galatariotis, referred to the bilateral cooperation of the Limassol-Tel Aviv Chambers in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concluded back in 2016 and the exchange of business missions of the two Chambers and stressed that the Limassol Chamber is always interested in further strengthening this cooperation , in all sectors, including tourism, innovation and start-ups, trade, etc.

The Chamber President also briefed the Israeli diplomat about various initiatives of the Chamber, both in support of its members and for the realization of important projects such as the Science & Technology Park, in addition to broader interest issues, such as Limassol port one year after its commercialization, the high quality service rendered in terms of the handling of containers and the ongoing efforts to attract cruise ships.
