The first Info Day on the European project CIDE-NET (Creative and Innovation Driven Enterprises' Network), was recently held at the premises of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI). This specific project, with the LCCI as a partner, is part of the Interreg BalkanMed Territorial Interregional Cooperation Instrument and belongs to the EU’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation priority pillar, with the main objective of enhancing the competitiveness of the business ecosystem in the Balkans and the Mediterranean, promoting social and digital innovation, international regional networking and the transfer know-how between enterprises of participating countries.
CIDE-NET aspires to strengthen the skills of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and to encourage the adoption of good practices and innovative applications in the fields of production, services, trade with a view to optimizing the operation and organizational structure within companies. The Info Day provided direct information to businesses on the activities expected to be implemented under the program in addition to insight to the services expected to become available soon to the business community.
The program provides, among others, for the following:
1.Research at national level to identify the needs of enterprises in relation to innovation.
2.Training material for web-based business mentoring seminars (a total of 300 SMEs - 60 in each country/partner) via an online platform on promoting creativity and implementing innovative ideas and good practices.
3.Establishment of business networks at national and transnational level to promote networking and cooperation. Development and operation of five support offices (one in each country).
4.Implementation of six interactive workshops, with the participation of 60 companies from each country/partner.
5.Dissemination of an electronic and hard copy information package with the inclusion of innovation-related good practices.
