Within the framework of the RESTART Programmes, Troodos Network presented online, at the Cyprus media group studio, the Troodos' investment platform which was implemented by the program: "SOCIALLINO" under the social innovation category of the Research and Innovation Foundation. The presentation took place on Wednesday, March 31st, and is uploaded at, https://www.facebook.com/Cyprusmedia.cy/ and https://www.facebook.com/troodosnetwork. The platform showcases all the investment opportunities in the three tourist resorts of Troodos: Platres, Pedoulas, and Kakopetria.

The coordinator of the program is Troodos Network and the project partners are Blupath Ltd and The Experts Alliance- Business Consultants, the project was supported by the communities of Platres, Pedoulas and Kakopetria. The objectives of the programme were the mapping and analysis of the investment opportunities for the three communities, which were implemented by, Experts Alliance-Business Consultants (Investment Experts), the creation of the digital platform which contains all the information for the potential investors and has been implemented by Blupath Ltd (Development experts), and finally the coordination and awareness-raising and dissemination of the results, which was the task of Troodos Network.

Our vision is to make a positive contribution to the promotion of all investment opportunities in Troodos, starting with the three communities and through our knowledge, experience and alliances with other organizations in Cyprus and abroad, to support the economic development of the mountainous areas, which have untapped investment opportunities. At the same time, Mr. Panagiotis Papadopoulos, President of the Troodos Network and representative of Cyprus at the European Rural Parliament , added that an effort is being made to find the means and the necessary budget needed to cover the whole of Troodos and thanked the Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK), the National Agency responsible for supporting and promoting research, technological development and innovation, which supported the project, in the context of social innovation, in order to encourage the economic development of vulnerable rural communities, through digital support.

The vision of the RESTART 2016-2020 Programmes is to empower the research, technological development and innovation sector as vital pillars for the economic development of Cyprus, contributing positively to the economic and social challenges and developing the conditions for achieving sustainable development, in line with the objectives of Europe 2020 strategic framework for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.

The vision of sustainable rural development is aligned with the vision and mission of Troodos Network and it  the strategic plan of the European Rural Parliament.
