Parents working at the Agios Athanasios/Linopetra Industrial Estate will
soon be able to breathe a deep sigh of relief, with the operation in the near
future, of the kindergarten and the Children's Club of the local Municipality.
The project, to be built at the services area plot at the entrance of the
Industrial Estate will also host all the programs of the Municipality Social
Volunteers Council.
Speaking to "Entrepreneurial Limassol", Agios Athanasios Mayor,
Marinos Kyriakou, expressed his satisfaction for the start of the project,
emphasizing that "the multifaceted centre will relieve many employees from
the anxiety of where to leave their children during their working
hours". He added that they will now be able to leave them there from
morning until afternoon, at a very low cost. 50% of places will be reserved for
children of employees at the Industrial Estate there.
The facilities, which are to be completed in November and start
operating in early 2022, will run until 17:00 and will include five rooms:
Three for the kindergarten which will accommodate 75 children aged 2 to 4 and a
half years and two pre-primary education rooms, which will accommodate 50
children of the public kindergarten. The Children's Club will operate in the
afternoons with a program of creative occupation for primary school children.
The cost of building the multipurpose centre is estimated at €950,000 and €670.000 will be covered by the state.
