The final conference of the CIDE-NET (Creative and Innovation Driven Enterprises' Network) project was recently held in Athens, with the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) participating as a partner. The project is part of the Interreg BalkanMed territorial transnational co-financing instrument and belongs to the Entrepreneurship and Innovation priority pillar. It has as its main objective the enhancing of the competitiveness of the business ecosystem in the Balkans and the Mediterranean region, promoting social and digital innovation and innovation and the transfer of know-how between businesses. The purpose of the final conference was to present the results and to provide a general overview of the implementation of the two-year program.
The Chamber was represented by Nicolas Iordanou, LCCI Senior Officer and Coordinator of the Research, Innovation and European Programs, who presented the work and results of the project carried out in Cyprus by the Chamber as:
- Representing the Chamber in all partner transnational meetings. The 4th Interstate Meeting was held in Limassol and a study visit was held at Signalgenerix.
- Organizing two Information Workshops with more than 100 participants who were informed about the services to be used in the project.
- Publishing articles on project activities in print newspapers, websites and social media to promote project services.
- Conducting research to identify business needs in the field of innovation.
- Creation of material for the 4th educational module (Eco-Innovation).
-Successfully organizing six interpersonal seminars. 120 companies have been trained through the e-training method by means of the electronic platform created for the needs of CIDE-NET.
-Completing the e-mentoring service with the participation and utilization of the service by 60 companies.
CIDE-NET was successfully completed on October 31, but the online services created under it will continue to be offered by the Chamber to its members. Interested parties can find out about them through the project's website www.cidenet.eu.
