From Germasogeia to Pyrgos - How many towers are under construction, how many are licensed and how many are waiting

A core of tall buildings is created at the Germasogeia River surrounding seaside area. On the coastal avenue, the Imperio Icon, which consists of 21 floors, was launched in February 2018. The total cost of the investment, expected to be completed in December 2020, exceeds 100 million euro. On the same parallel road began at the same time, two more towers of 26 and 23 floors. These are Marr Tower by Marr Cyprus and iA100 by A.Athanasiou. Construction on the 27-floor Del Mar with 27 floors, developed by the Cypeir Properties consortium.  began in 2017 and the project is expected to be completed in 2020. In the same area, in the former Bowling site, the Sky Tower project is under construction, by Prime Property. Work on the 23-storey tower began in June 2017 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

So-called ‘’mini towers’’ are currently under construction at Agios Tychonas: the 10-floor The Address by D. Zavos Group, situated next to the former Marathon  hotel and the 10-floor Mediterranean Residences of the Mediterranean hotel. At the same time, work got under way for the erection of the 12-floor 180° Limassol Residence and the 11-floor Symbol Residence, on the beach front, overlooking Puesta restaurant. Limassol luxury hotels are enriched with towers. In this context, the construction of the 10-floor Amara Residences, adjacent to the newly built Amara Hotel Complex and the 12-floor Four Seasons Residences Hotel's decked tower have beenompleted. The area is now marked by two mini-towers of the Athanasiou Group, called iHome.

The two towers of Prime Property, called Infinity Towers, are at the licensing stage located in the area of the former Golden Arches Hotel. The examination of the application for planning permission is in the final stage and the height of the towers has been limited to 23 floors, taking into account the opinion of the Department of Antiquities. The Dream Tower, with 27 floors, is expected to be completed by 2021, by the consortium of Property Gallery and HKCY Hotels, at the site of the former Arsinoe Hotel.

In the Muttayaka area, the 17-floor ARC-Ship of Cyfield was completed last year, and the 14-floor Athanasiou Tower of Chr. Athanasiou recently started construction. In the final licensing phase is the much higher Olympic Resort. The construction of the 30-storey tower was undertaken by the Marfields Group, the company responsible for the construction of Olympic Residence and Central Park Residence in Nicosia. Two more hotels in Limassol, Parklane and St. Raphael are enriched with towers, 11 and 13 floors respectively. In addition, Oxley Planetvision Properties, which last March announced that they have secured the planning permission to build the Sofitel Hotel Resort at Pyrgos Beach, are proceeding with two 20-storey residential towers, the Sofitel Residences.
